After two hours of searching, scuba teams discovered the body of six-year-old Aliyah Williams.

Deputy Chief Drew Forsythe says the little girl went canoeing with family members around 4:30 p.m. Shortly after, the little girl went ashore with another adult to go to the store but ran back to the dock to grab her shoes. That was the last time she was seen.

There were no witnesses who saw her fall into the water.

No criminal charges have been made. The investigation is still ongoing.
