GREECE, N.Y. (WHEC) -- Greece Police identified the man who was taken into custody Wednesday after police found a pipe bomb in his home.

Officers responded to 26-year-old Daniel Owens' home on Estall Road early Wednesday morning after they were tipped off that there may be some kind of bomb inside the house.

Officers found a pipe bomb in the home and took Owens into custody.

Police say Owens will not face local charges but has been turned over to ATF agents for arraignment in federal court.

Three other people live in the home as well.

A bomb squad is waiting to go into the home, but based on what they saw, Greece Police don’t think there’s an immediate danger to the community.

Police tell News10NBC they do not believe this is related to the arrests of four men accused of making IEDs and plotting to attack the Muslim community of Islamberg in Delaware County.

"I can’t get into any specifics of what the person said but there is really no information to suggest that he had any plan to use it against a specific person or property or persons," Deputy Chief Casey Voelkl said. "He just had it at the house as far as we know right now."

This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
