Greenlight Networks live in Gates

GATES, N.Y. (WHEC) -- A high-speed fiber-optic network has made its way to Gates.

Greenlight Networks is now live in three Gates districts, allowing a total of 1,982 homes to get internet speeds up to two gigabytes per second.

The districts impacted are: 

Gates Ford

  • The Gates Ford Greenlight district encompasses homes from Gates-Greece Townline Road to Spencerport Road between Vendome Dr S and Long Pond.


  • Gates Matilda extends from Tolley Boulevard to Spencerport Road between Long Pond and Route 390. 


  • Gates Shadywood runs from Lyell Road to Route 490 and covers homes between Wegman Road and Route 390. 

"I'm very excited that Greenlight is finally up and running here in our town," said Cosmo Giunta, Gates Town Supervisor.  "This gives our residents and business owners an additional option for their internet needs and may draw potential new residents and businesses to move into the town because of the fiber optic services Greenlight provides."

Greenlight Networks is also serving several municipalities in Monroe County which includes portions of Brighton, East Rochester, Fairport, Greece, Henrietta, Irondequoit, Penfield, Pittsford, Rochester, Webster and West Henrietta.
