Group fitness director hopes people 'fall in love' with program at Health and Wellness Expo

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — News10NBC's Health and Wellness Expo will feature plenty of demonstrations, and Christine Pilaroscia will be holding two of them at the free event.

Pilaroscia is the group fitness director at the Max Effort Training Facility in Henrietta, and she's bringing a Zumba demonstration and a P90X demonstration to RIT's Gordon Field House on Oct. 5.


She says she and her group have one goal:

"Hopefully when people come to our demonstration, they will learn more about the classes that we have to offer and they'll fall in love with the idea of coming and taking group fitness overall," she said. "Even if it's not through us, maybe it could be through someone else but finding that motivation, community, and fun... that is group fitness."

There all types of classes of at the group fitness-only facility, including boot camp, Zumba,Pi-yo, yoga, and tai-chi. There are usually 10 to 30 people in each class, and classes are for people of all fitness levels, because all the classes can be modified.
