Police: Man shot and killed in Rochester

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — The Rochester Police Department responded to a call for a person shot on McKinley Street Saturday morning.

Police say they found a man believed to be around 40-50 years with a single shot to his upper body.

The man was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead. 

Police say they believe it was an isolated incident and said there is no threat to neighbors.

The Rochester Police Department’s Major Crimes Unit is working to identify the male victim.
