RICHMOND, N.Y. (WHEC) -- A Hemlock contractor is charged with grand larceny after being accused of taking a down payment for work he never did.
Ontario County sheriff's deputies arrested Donald Zielinski, 53, on March 15.
According to the sheriff's office, Zielinski agreed to do work for a man in the Town of Richmond in May 2017 and took a $1,400 down payment, but he never performed any of the work. Deputies say he ignored the customer's calls for more than a year.
Zielinski was issued an appearance ticket and will appear in Richmond Town Court at a later date.
