One person is arrested, and a highly anticipated football game is suspended, after a brawl at the Marino Auto Stadium.

Rochester police responded to several fights at a football game between East High School and Wilson Magnet High School around 4 p.m. Saturday afternoon.

Officers say that a fight broke out between fans in the stands midway through the second quarter. At that time the game was paused and Rochester police moved in.

News10NBC was at the scene and heard announcements over the stadium loudspeaker telling remaining spectators to stay in their seats or risk being escorted out of the stadium. The game resumed around 5 p.m. and finished out the quarter.

School officials made the decision to suspend the game at halftime. Once the student athletes were safely on buses, police cleared the stadium.

That’s when several other fights broke out and one person was arrested. The investigation is on-going.
