Horseplay on road turns dangerous in Albion

ALBION, N.Y. (WHEC) - Orleans County Sheriff deputies, the Albion Fire Department, and two local ambulance services responded to the report of a head-on, two-car crash on Holley Road in the Town of Albion just after 10 Sunday morning.

Undersheriff Christopher Bourke said, "For some reason they decided to drive at each other and they collided."

Three of the five people involved in the crash sustained serious injuries. One passenger, a 27-year-old woman, was transported by a Mercy Flight helicopter to Strong Memorial Hospital. Two other male passengers were transported by ground ambulance also to Strong. 

Weather conditions were mild and there were no curves to the road where the crash happened.   

Police continue to investigate.
