New York bill would lower state hunting license age

The New York State Senate Monday passed legislation that would lower the legal age to hunt from 14-years-old to 12-years-old. 

Republican 55th District Senator Rich Funke is behind the bill that would amend the law on universal hunting licenses.

Backers say some families have long traditions of passing down the valuable skill to their children.
