A local voice on the board that regulates Lake Ontario water levels is out.
Brighton Engineer Frank Sciremammano says he was not re-appointed to the International Joint Commission after being part of it for 23 years.
He says no reason was given but he's not surprised given his criticism of the IJC's 2014 plan.
The plan calls for higher highs and lower lows on the lake, which some blamed for last spring's flooding.
Congressman Chris Collins called Sciremammano's removal outrageous and says quote,
"I am continuing to work with the Trump administration to get new IJC commissioners put in place because our lakeshore residents deserve real solutions and not this short-sighted nonsense."
News10NBC reached out to the IJC for comment. Stay with News10NBC for more updates on this story.
