In-Depth: COVID vaccine side effect factors

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC)— A lot of you have reached out to us to ask about the side effects of the COVID vaccines, so, News10NBC took an In-Depth look at who is more likely to experience side effects.

Top doctors told our New York City affiliate younger people are among the group who have seen some of the most side effects, as doctors say it's because they have a more robust immune system, which reacts to the vaccine.

People are also more likely to report side effects after their second dose. According to the CDC, side effects from the second shot are usually more intense. The symptoms could vary depending on whether or not you've had COVID.

News10NBC recently spoke to several viewers as they shared their individual reaction stories.

Symptoms could also depend on which vaccine you got, as the Johnson and Johnson vaccine had fewer side effects. while those who got Pfizer or Moderna experienced more.
