In-Depth: What to do if you contract COVID between vaccine doses

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — We're going In-Depth on a question many of you have about what do you do if you get COVID between your first and second dose.

Doctors told our Chicago affiliate there is a window of time to reschedule, however, because you contracted the virus, you do build up some natural immunity, so it isn't urgent.

You still need to quarantine for 10 days and until your symptoms subside.

Once that happens, doctors say you're safe to reschedule as soon as you can.

The CDC says you can still safely get the shot after getting the virus regardless if you were symptomatic or asymptomatic.
