Man questioned in disappearance of Brittanee Drexel to switch lawyers

April 20, 2018 06:09 PM

The man the FBI thinks knows something about Brittanee Drexel's disappearance will be allowed to fire his attorneys.

According to court records, a judge granted Timothy Da'shaun Taylor's request to seek new counsel.

The move will delay his sentence in a federal robbery case again.

The Chili teen disappeared in 2009 in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

Last year, a jailhouse informant told the FBI that Taylor and his father had roles in her kidnapping, rape and murder.

Taylor was never charged in Drexel's death.
