ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) - A Rochester City Council seat left vacant after allegations of scandal is officially filled.
On Tuesday, City Council named LaShay Harris to serve as the South District representative.
She replaces Adam McFadden who lost his seat after pleading guilty to federal wire fraud and tax charges earlier this month.
"The big plan is just to work very hard, listen to the constituents, make sure I hear their voices and then I bring their voices to the chambers and get it done," said Harris.
Harris will serve for the remainder of the term which ends December 31.
A primary for the seat is set for June 25.
