If you live or work in Monroe County, you may see an increase in law enforcement vehicles on the roads Wednesday, but there is no need for concern.
A homeland security exercise will take place until 8 p.m.
The drill allows officers to practice response operations in relation to a variety of mock terroristic events.
If you have an emergency, you should call 911 as usual.
The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, the Rochester Police Department, the Monroe County Office of Emergency Management, Emergency Communications Department, and Public Safety Communication are all participating in the exercise.
