NOTE: The following reveals Olympic results not yet shown on television in the United States as of Saturday morning. Jon Lillis' performance is expected to be aired on News10NBC sometime between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. While News10NBC understands the urge to go into every Olympic broadcast fresh and unspoiled, the news and sports value of how a local performs in the Olympics is too important to ignore, especially as many other local outlets will also share the results. In recognition and response to previous complaints, however, we are providing this warning out of consideration for those who want to avoid spoilers. If you do not want to know how Lillis performed, turn back now.
Pittsford's Jon Lillis made a good first impression in his Olympic debut on Saturday, coming out of qualification in Men's Aerials with the top spot.
Lillis finished his first run with a 127.44 score, easily qualifying for the final. He was the only American to qualify, as Mac Bohonnon and Eric Loughran were unable to place well enough to advance. Defending Olympic champion Anton Kushnir of Belarus also failed to make the cut.
Other top qualifying scores came from Guangpu Qi and Zongyang Jia of China.
The finals round will take place on Sunday, beginning at 6 a.m. ET.
