A verdict has been reached in the trial of a woman accused of stabbing her ex-boyfriend to death in Livingston County.
Danielle Allen has been found guilty of manslaughter in the second degree.
Prosecutors say Allen, the daughter of a New York State police inspector, killed Marcus Postell in November 2016.
In closing arguments Wednesday, the defense argued that Allen acted in self-defense while prosecutors call it a reckless and deliberate act.
Allen faces up to 15 years in prison. She will be remanded without bail until her sentencing in September.
News10NBC's Beth Cefalu spoke with the Livingston County DA Thursday evening about his reaction to the guilty verdict.
