ALBANY, N.Y. (WHEC) — Both Monroe County and the City of Rochester will see over $100,000 go to their bomb squads as a result of a grant program from the federal Department of Homeland Security.
The grants were announced by Governor Andrew Cuomo on Friday and are part of $2 million in funding heading to New York State bomb squads.
The funding will help equip and train the bomb squads for potential emergencies caused by improvised explosive devices, or IEDs.
