The public was invited out to share personal testimonies and some people spoke on their efforts in helping the community with addiction recovery.

On Friday the Monroe County Medical Examiner's Office released a six-month report on overdoses.

During the listed time period, there were 99 total cases accounted for within Monroe County that resulted in death.

The most prominent cases occurred to white men, between the ages of 21 and 29 years old and were a result of fentanyl.

The 2018 full-year report is expected to be made available late in 2019.
