Fire crews investigating Lyell Avenue fire

Rochester fire crews are investigating the cause of a second alarm Lyell Avenue fire.

Firefighters were dispatched to the scene at just before 6 p.m. to find smoke coming from the part commercial and part residential building.


A second alarm was called as the fire started to affect nearby buildings and additional reinforcements were needed.

The second floor of the building and the roof suffered significant damage.

Fire officials say that that nobody is currently living inside the residence.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
