Deputies say a 20-year-old from Macedon was arrested Saturday for breaking into a residence in Williamson and assaulting a 73-year-old homeowner.
According to the Wayne County Sheriff's Office, deputies were called to a Ridge Road residence around 11:17 p.m. on Saturday after reports a man had broken in. Upon arrival, they found Kyle L. Quigley, who had broken the entry door, entered the residence, and began to physically assault the 73-year-old homeowner.
Quigley was arrested and charged with second-degree criminal trespass, third-degree criminal mischief, and third-degree assault. He was arraigned in the Town of Williamson and remanded to the Wayne County Jail on $1,000 bail or $5,000 bond. In addition, a stay away order of protection was issued for the victim. Quigley will appear in the Town of Williamson court at later date to answer charges.
The victim was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital, where he was treated for his injuries and then released.
