ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Malls, movie theaters, casinos and gyms will not reopen at the start of Phase Four in New York.
Bob Duffy, President and CEO of the Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce confirms they will reopen after the first day of Phase Four.
He says the state's budget director informed local "control room" leaders of the governor's decision Tuesday afternoon.
"Those guidelines are still being reviewed... those areas will all open during Phase Four, there's just no date certain," Duffy said. "There's more work being done on those."
Duffy says the Finger Lakes area is still on track to reopen for Phase Four this Friday.
Low-risk outdoor and indoor activities, museums and art galleries should be included day one of Phase Four.
Duffy says the official Phase Four guidelines should be released late Tuesday night or early Wednesday morning.
