Investigators say Attenborough and two others, 38-year-old David Burch, of Rochester, and 62-year-old Thomas Stanley, of West Roxbury, ran a company called Pave Co.

According to court documents, all three men performed shoddy paving jobs and then drastically overcharging for the work, after subjecting homeowners to intense pressure to hire them to resurface driveways.

One victim, who spoke to News10NBC, said the men told her they had some "leftover asphalt" from another job and would use it to repave her driveway at a discounted price. Before she even got a chance to discuss any price at all, she said the men started dumping loads of asphalt and spreading it on her driveway.
