Former Fairport school employee arrested for inappropriate conduct toward a child

IRONDEQUOIT, N.Y. (WHEC) — The Irondequoit Police Department says a former Fairport Central School District employee has been arrested after having inappropriate contact with a child.

Logan Nedo has been charged with course of sexual conduct against a child in the first degree. Police say they became involved in the investigation on May 19 regarding the an allegation of inappropriate contact between Nedo and a child.

Nedo was a network administrator in Fairport's technology department. School officials say he did not interact with students. He was immediately placed on administrative leave by the school and banned from the campus.

Nedo was arraigned in Irondequoit Town Court and remanded to Monroe County Jail.

The investigation is still ongoing.
