Man charged with vehicular homicide, DWI in fatal Parma crash

PARMA, N.Y. (WHEC) -- A Riga man has been charged with aggravated vehicular homicide and aggravated DWI in connection with a fatal crash that occurred earlier this month.

Matthew Magar, 30, was arraigned at Strong Memorial Hospital on Thursday where he remains since the crash.

Monroe County Sheriff's deputies say Magar failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection of Clarkson-Parma Town Line Road and Parma Center Road in Parma on Jan. 7, striking 41-year-old Dilek Ogut's vehicle. 

The Greece woman was pronounced dead at the scene. 

Maga is charged with one count of aggravated vehicular homicide, aggravated DWI, reckless driving, failure to stop at a stop sign, and speeding. Bail is set at $15,000 cash or $45,000 bond.
