ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — A Rochester man who was shot multiple times on the city's north side two weeks ago has died.

Rochester Police say Benny Goins, 27, was shot on Gladys Street near Conkey Avenue on May 12. 

Goins was taken to the University of Rochester Medical Center, where he remained in critical condition. He died from his injuries on May 26, police said. 

The Rochester Police Department's Major Crimes Unit is now investigating the murder.

This marks the 24th homicide in Rochester.
