LYONS, N.Y. (WHEC) — The man who pleaded guilty to killing his girlfriend and her 14-month-old son is set to be sentenced.
Alberto Reyes faces 20 years behind bars.
In September, he pleaded guilty to manslaughter charges for the deaths of Selena Hidalgo-Calderon and her son Owen. The two disappeared from a Sodus farm in May 2018. Selena's body was found a week later in some woods near the farm. Owen's remains were discovered at the same farm the following October.
Also in September, Reyes pleaded guilty in a separate federal case involving counterfeit documentation and illegal re-entry into the country. He faces 10 years in prison for that case.
Reyes is set to be sentenced in Wayne County Court at 10 a.m. Thursday.
