Medina approved for a skate park grant

MEDINA, N.Y. (WHEC) -- The Village of Medina in Orleans County has been awarded a grant to build a new concrete skate park.

The Tony Hawk Foundation and Ralph C Wilson Junior Foundation have teamed up to provide a matching grant of up to $250,000 towards the construction of a Built-To-Play Skate park.

The Medina Skate Society will be in charge of raising the rest of the money.

If all goes as planned, the new skate park could be ready to open by March 2021.
