Monroe County Democrats' elections commissioner retiring

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — The long-time Democratic commissioner for the Monroe County Board of Elections is retiring at the end of the month, News10NBC has confirmed. 

Tom Ferrarese has held that title since 2002. He served as deputy commissioner from 1999 to 2002.

The Monroe County Democratic Committee will make a recommendation for his replacement, and the county legislature will have to approve it. 

Until then, current deputy commissioner Colleen Anderson will fill the role.
