ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) -- Both the Monroe County Republican and Democratic Committees endorsed their 2019 candidates Wednesday night.
Republican Chairman Bill Reilich announced the committee is standing behind Monroe County Executive Cheryl Dinolfo and District Attorney Sandra Doorley for re-election.
Chairwoman for the Democrats, Brittaney Wells, awarded current Monroe County Clerk Adam Bello the nomination for county executive.
The committee is also backing Shani Curry Mitchell for Monroe County district attorney.
She's a prosecutor with more than 13 years of experience.
"And then we have two strong county court candidates, Karen Bailey Turner and Michael Dollinger, who are running so we're really excited about the top of the ticket," said Wells.
"I think there's a lot of excitement because when people ask, is there a difference between one individual or the other, it's a stark difference this year. We're seeing all the things that are happening in Albany, sudden changes, I don't think people want to see that right in their town, right in their county," said Reilich.
The Republican Committee also nominated John Demarco and Kyle Stainebach for Monroe County Court.
