The Scuba mission for a missing Perington couple has concluded its search for the day.
The Monroe County Sheriff's Office SCUBA team joined the search for the missing couple on Sunday.
According to a press release from the Sheriff's Office, the SCUBA team deployed from Charlotte's Genesee River boat launch Sunday morning. The hope was to take advantage of receding ice flows to use underwater sonar equipment to search for evidence of Robert and Mary Ross' disappearance. Neither of the Rosses have been seen since January 30, and their phone was last "pinged" on Lake Avenue in Charlotte.
The Sheriff's Office says that there is no new information directing the search to the area, but that a brief period of warmer temperatures is allowing them to pursue all possible options as the investigation continues.
