Saturday was the fourth and final day of the Monroe Invitational Championship. The previous winners of the Monroe Invitational include household names like Friday's U.S. Open Leader Dustin Johnson.

Coming in, Ashton Poole was our leader from Friday. He'd have a bit of a tough round Saturday afternoon though and would wind up finishing tied for ninth. He was six over par, 286 total.

A local Pittsford man, Will Thomson, ended up tied for 27th, with eleven over 291.

The winner of the whole event was Kevin O'Connell, from Cary, North Carolina. He edged out his competition with a final round of 69, bringing his total to two over 282.

"The golf course is certainly a challenge all four days," said O'Connell." Between the pins and the rough it is kind of just a tricky course, talking to some of the guys I was staying with at our hosts house, it is just a hard golf course to get on top of.Again with the pins it is easy to hit a bogey and hard to hit a birdie. I can understand why the list of champions is so good and I am proud of my game for kind of holding up to the test this week."
