Hundreds brave the heat to run through Seneca Park Zoo

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Hundreds of runners braved the heat for a race through the Seneca Park Zoo Sunday morning, including News10NBC's Brennan Somers.

More than 1,100 registered for the Seneca Park Zoo Society's Jungle Jog 5K, making it the biggest Jungle Jog yet.

This year, the 5K fundraiser will benefit giraffe conservation. The zoo is home to three Masai giraffes, two females Iggy and Kipenzi, and one male named Parker. 

News10NBC is a proud sponsor of the the Jungle Jog. Somers also emceed the event.
