A member of the community brought the female cat, who had just given birth that morning to three kittens, to the Fulton Animal Hospital.

The mother had a prolapsed uterus and had to undergo emergency surgery.

According to the humane society, the man that delivered the cats openly admitted to suffocating kittens in the past and stated that if he took the mother or kittens home, he would suffocate them also.

The man has surrendered the kittens to the Oswego County Humane Society and has signed the paperwork to relinquish custody.

The mother will be brought to the Oswego County Humane Society once she recovers.

The Oswego County Humane Society is asking for the community's help with the felines since the cost and care for them is over $1,000.

Donations can be made online here or by calling 315-207-1070.
