Laurence Glazer was considered a visionary of downtown Rochester.

He and his wife, Jane, were killed when their private plane went down off the coast of Jamaica back in 2014.
Jane was a graduate of Nazareth College.

The Glazer Center will serve as the rehearsal and performance home of the Nazareth Department of Music.

"Music is our 2nd biggest major and we have about 250 students major in music, but we get almost 100 students a year that major in something else but they want to play in an orchestra, sing or play in an ensemble and we outgrew our space and so now we have this extraordinary theater," said President of Nazareth College, Daan Braveman.

This $15.5 million venue is designed specifically for the acoustics of large instrumental ensembles.
