PITTSFORD, N.Y. (WHEC) — Three hundred adjunct faculty at the college voted to join the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) last summer.

Now they're calling on the college's president, Daan Braveman, to follow his own pledge as they negotiate a new contract. The union says Bravemaan is refusing to budge on union proposals to establish a living wage and job security for adjuncts.

They also say Braveman, a co-chair of the Rochester-Monroe Anti-Poverty Initiative, developed an "employer pledge" that calls on regional employers to provide "living wages and comprehensive benefits."

Nazareth responded saying it agrees that part-time faculty pay should increase. The college also says it has made substantial progress negotiating today.
