ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) -- The death of the 3-year-old boy who fell into a grease trap behind a Tim Horton's restaurant is incomprehensible.

Neighbors dropped by the mother's home Tuesday to lend as much support as they could in a time of tragedy. Some even told News10NBC they often saw the toddler playing in the front yard.

"How can we help in a time like this?...I'm pretty sure that anyone that can do anything would be glad to do anything, would be glad to do something for a person in this situation," said Jeenathan Williams, neighbor.

News10NBC also visited the neighborhood spray park where we found many sympathetic parents, one of whom knew the mother and son.

We have also been told there's a GoFundMe established for the mother to cover the funeral expenses. We are working to verify its authenticity.
