New film exhibit at George Eastman Museum

If you're interested in film history, there's a new exhibit at the George Eastman Museum.  

Dreaming in Color: The David Turconi Collection of Early Cinema opened on Saturday. The collection includes thousands of the original nitrate frames of 35mm films from the early years of cinema.

David Turconi was one of the world's leading experts in the history of silent cinema, particularly those shot from the 1890s to 1915.  

The George Eastman Museum acquired the collection in the 1990s. It took more than 12 years to digitize the films.
