GREECE, N.Y. (WHEC) — Canadian-based company Innovative Global Products will be demonstrating its quick-to-deploy water barrier system, Rapid-H20, in Greece in June.

The Rapid H20 system is designed to work like the Aqua Dam barriers the state currently uses.  However, the system is intended to require less labor and heavy equipment to install.

Rapid H20 uses a series of waterproof tarp boxes in metal frames that can quickly by unfolded and filled with water. The system can then be folded up and stored for future use when it's done being used.

The current Aqua Dams require a heavy bladder that has to be brought in with a truck before being spread out and filled.

The demonstration is scheduled for June 7 at 1826 Edgemere Drive.
