Fairport man arrested twice in one day after allegedly threatening to kill man

FAIRPORT, N.Y. (WHEC) — Police arrested a man, released him, then arrested him again — all in a matter of hours.

Fairport Police arrested Nicholas Jordan, 26, at a home on East Church Street around 12:30 p.m. Wednesday. Jordan allegedly pointed a loaded shotgun at a man and threatened to kill him.

He was charged with second-degree menacing and released on an appearance ticket under New York’s new bail reform laws.

Around 4 p.m., about two hours after being released, Jordan was arrested again for threatening the same man. 

Jordan was released from the Wayne County Jail Thursday morning.
