New York lawmakers face a tight schedule and plenty of political crosswinds as they try to hammer out a way to pay the state's bills.
When they get back to Albany next week, they'll have less than two weeks to put together a budget before the April 1st deadline.
Capitol watchers say they'll have to get through disputes over education funding, transportation and school security.
Meanwhile, the latest republican challenger for Governor Cuomo is about to make it official.
Duchess County Executive Marc Molinaro is now expected to formally announce he's running two weeks from Monday on April 2.
