LIVINGSTON COUNTY, N.Y. (WHEC) — Livingston County is refuting part of the New York State 2021 budget dealing with Medicaid after the governor proposed that local governments limit Medicaid increases.
In the budget, there’s a line that says there’s no financial incentive for counties to control costs and that had led to the dramatic increase in spending growth.
From the NYS 2021 Executive Budget. Underlined text is untrue. Counties simply process and administer a program that has Federal & State rules/regulations. We do it well, with competent staff. Allegations to the contrary will be refuted every time. pic.twitter.com/I3i1miDv6C
