President Donald Trump is taking heat for allegedly fist pumping a crowd at a September 11 ceremony in Pennsylvania... but did he?

There's no shortage of memes or critical posts circulating on social media claiming he acted inappropriately on September 11 this year.

One tweet from Holly Figueroa O'Reilly, for example, has been retweeted more than 2,000 times and has more than 5,000 likes with a picture apparently showing him giving a fist pump to the crowd.

"Y'all are being way too hard on Trump. After all," said the tweet, "who among us hasn't shown up to a 9/11 memorial this way? He literally did this in Shanksville, PA. Frickin' embarrassing."

NBC News did tweet video and still shots of the incident in question. However, the president is at the airport in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, which is about 30 miles from Shanksville, where Flight 93 crashed.

The video shows President Trump getting off Air Force One with the First Lady. As he's walking over to a crowd of supporters and military personnel, he does fist pump the crowd.

However, this did not happen in Shanksville and was not done at or during a September 11 memorial.

That makes this claim... noise.
