News10NBC First Alert Weather Snowfall Contest winner announced

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — This past winter was a fairly average one. The average number from October 1st through March 20th is about 90.8 inches.

When all was said and done, the final tally for this winter’s snowfall from October 1st through March 20th was 91.3 inches.

Out of the 1,222 entries, two people had 91.3 inches and both of them said January 19th would be the heaviest single day of snowfall. One day off of January 20th -- the date of the largest snowfall.  

So we had to break that tiebreaker again by drawing the name. You can watch that video below.

The final winner of the News10NBC First Alert Snowfall Contest and recipient of a $1,000 gift card to Ruby Gordon Home is Bob Lewandowski. Congrats, Bob!

Bob said he felt it was not going to be an above average winter so he put around 91.3 inches.
