ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Four members of the News10NBC team will participate in the 2019 Rochester Marathon Relay. We're proud to be a sponsor of the Rochester Marathon.

Breland Moore joined the News10NBC team in September of 2016.

She'll be joined by Charles Molineaux, Brennan Somers and Pat Taney on race day.

Here are a few fun running-related facts about Breland.

Years running: 15

Why I started running: As a former varsity field hockey player, I started running in high school to stay in shape for our playing seasons. I continued in college for the same reason (believe it or not, being a mascot is extremely taxing. Those suits aren’t lightweight!). Now, it’s basically a necessary part of my workout routines. I just don’t feel as though I’ve had a complete session until I hit the treadmill for a bit.

Why I’m running the Rochester Marathon Relay: I’ve never officially ran a distance higher than a 5K. We had a preseason drill back in high school called “The Gauntlet” (combination of multiple sprints and mile runs with small breaks) that was probably more, but I was never quite sure. This will is my chance to officially prove to myself that I can do more than 3-4 miles.

Have you run any races before: I’ve run a bunch of charity 5ks

Personal record for a marathon:

What’s your goal for the Marathon Relay: I have no preferred time, finishing without walking is honestly enough for me.
