ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Four members of the News10NBC team will participate in the 2019 Rochester Marathon Relay. We're proud to be a sponsor of the Rochester Marathon.

Pat Taney got his start at News10NBC as an associate producer right out of college. He's now an anchor of News10NBC Today every weekday and serves as the station's managing editor.

He'll be joined by Breland Moore, Charles Molineaux and Brennan Somers on race day.

Here are a few fun running-related facts about Pat.

Years running: 25

Why I started running: To lose weight and get healthier. I also find running meditative—eases stress and builds the immune system to keep me from getting sick.

Why I’m running the Rochester Marathon Relay: I’ve been running most of my life. I have done a solo marathon and several half marathons in the past but am looking forward to the team aspect of a relay race

Have you run any races before: Disney Marathon in 2010, several half marathons and so many 5Ks I’ve lost count.

Personal record for a marathon: 3 hours, 50 minutes

What’s your goal for the Marathon Relay: Besides finishing my leg? I am hoping to do about 6 miles in under an hour.
