ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC)- There have been no arrests made so far after a Wednesday evening assault that sent a 46-year-old city man to the hospital.
According to the Rochester Police Department, officers responded to York Street around 5:30 for the report of a man assaulted outside. Upon arrival, they found the victim with a facial laceration and swelling to an eye. He was transported to URMC, where personnel have told police his injuries are not life-threatening.
While it is not yet known for sure what the victim was hit with, police say it may have been a stick of some sort.
No suspects are in custody, nor have any been named.
