RFD says the owner was closing up for the day when he spotted smoke inside of the back stairwell.

It took fire fighters 15 to 20 minutes to put out the flames, which they say could have caused intensive damage.

Firefighters say there was a lot of fire and water damage to the first floor of the building, and minor smoke damage to the second.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
