According to our Buffalo affiliate, WGRZ, the family lives in Amherst, just outside of Buffalo, where it's against town zoning laws to have a pig as a pet.

The family took their fight to the town zoning board of appeals to ask for an exception because the pig acts as an emotional support animal for his owner, Courtney Kruss.

Kruss suffers from anxiety and depression, and she says Porkchop plays a huge role in her life.

However, their request was denied.

The family is moving to Tennessee but the good news is, Porkchop is going with them.
