ALBANY, N.Y. (WHEC) — In response to the accusations against Governor Cuomo, Republican women state senators are teaming up to propose a package of anti-sexual harassment bills.

The State Senate Republican Women's Caucus, which includes Senator Pam Helming, introduced the measures Thursday. The proposals would allow employees to bring forward a sexual harassment allegation within one year after they have left the job.

It would also protect employees from retaliatory actions by employers.

Another bill would also create an independent commission to help combat sexual harassment in state government.
